I have my fair share of RC vehicles at this point and have become pretty familiar with DEERC as a brand. To get straight to the point, the DEERC 1/18 Scale Off Road RC Truck has quickly stepped into the top place in my collection for the speed and fun factor alone. In typical fashion, it comes with everything you need to get going right out of the box except for the AA batteries for the controller: you get a brush, screwdriver, lug nut tool, a bag of spare screws and clips, a charger, and two batteries. When you remove the body and take a look at the chassis, you can see the metal parts in the suspension and drivetrain, though everything else is made of plastic, meaning repairing it if you run into any issues might be a bit of a challenge. The body features a common trophy truck style shell, and the remote uses a standard trigger throttle. It is worth paying attention to the remote because it includes a speed control dial. This lets you turn the speed down so that anyone new to RC can learn the controls without stressing over the velocity. I actually really like this feature myself because it also helps dial in appropriate speeds across different surfaces. As far as speed goes, this truck is genuinely fast. On pavement, it breaks traction with ease, and if you are used to drifting, you can easily use that to your advantage. Reverse 180s are made simple with that much speed, and pulling off donuts with the rear wheels spinning while the steering is locked in hard is effortless. On my lawn, it tackled the grass with ease, driving right through growth that exceeded its clearance without any noticeable change in performance. The addition of front and undercarriage lights also gives it a more premium feel than your average RC car.Overall, this thing is fast, a ton of fun to drive, and I highly recommend it.

The DEERC 9312E is a perfectly good, functional product that sits right on the cusp of being decent for its entry level price point. If you are stepping up from cheap, basic toys, its 4WD setup and robust metal drivetrain look great on paper and offer a solid introductory baseline. However, as an experienced hobbyist with models like the Hosim X16, X10, and S01 in my garage, I found that this truck definitely falls below them all in speed, thrill, and overall fun factor. It lacks that hard hitting punch and visceral excitement that makes a backyard basher truly memorable, making its stock performance feel a bit safe and uninspired by comparison. Additionally, it's smaller 1/18 Scale makes traveling in grass difficult, sometimes not even possible. The performance gap becomes especially obvious when you compare it to a true standout like the SCY 16101 Pro, which remains my fastest, easiest to modify, and most fun option by a landslide and is at or relatively close to the same price point. Spending just a little bit more money on a platform like the SCY completely shifts the experience, delivering the explosive power and customizable potential that this stock DEERC truck simply cannot replicate. While the 9312E is a passable, well built choice if you are on a strict budget or buying for a beginner, it leaves a lot to be desired for anyone used to serious hobby-grade performance. It is a excellent item for what it costs, but it ultimately earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars when stacked against the real heavy hitters in its class.

My grandson and I spent quite a bit of time with this DEERC RC 9312E car over the weekend. We went through both batteries, charged them back up, and then drained them a second time, so we were able to put a decent amount of driving time on the car. We tested it on grass, hard-packed dirt, and a driveway covered with small, packed pebbles. We also built a few small ramps for jumping and used bricks to make a little race course. The 4WD system gives the car plenty of traction, and it handled all three surfaces very well. The suspension also does a good job absorbing bumps and smaller jumps. On harder landings where the suspension completely bottoms out, however, the car tends to bounce and immediately roll over. We had numerous rollovers throughout the weekend, but fortunately the body is very flexible and took the abuse without cracking or splitting anywhere.Battery life varied considerably depending on how aggressively we drove it. Our longest run on a single battery was about twenty minutes, while our shortest was around thirteen minutes when we were driving faster and harder. Having two batteries included definitely helps since you can swap them out and keep playing while the other one charges. One of my favorite features is the ability to limit the maximum speed using the remote. At full speed, the car is relatively quick, but being able to turn the speed down makes it much easier for younger kids to control. My grandson could concentrate on steering without having the car constantly getting away from him. As his skill improved, we could simply increase the speed.I also really like the aggressive styling of this version. The black and gray color combination gives it a more subdued appearance while still looking tough and sporty. It performs well and has some better components than the average R/C toy, but this is closer to a toy than a hobby grade car and it is slightly overpriced for the speed it produces combined with the smaller batteries.

This RC truck is fast, powerful, and a lot of fun to drive! The 4WD design handles different terrains well, and the LED lights add a cool touch. The two included batteries provide plenty of playtime, while the sturdy metal drivetrain is a nice bonus. Great for both kids and adults who enjoy high-speed RC cars!

This is an awesome little car! Punchy when you want it but not too much. Perfect for a first rc car. Very durable too. Looks sleek and is tons of fun. I have several name brand rc's and these DEERC cars rip! Very well made and excellent quality!

This little DEERC RC truck is surprisingly fast for its size. The 26 mph top speed gives it plenty of punch, and the 4WD setup makes it fun to drive on dirt, grass, gravel, and other off-road surfaces.I really like that it comes with two 1200mAh Li-Po batteries. Having a spare battery means you can get a good amount of driving time without having to stop and wait for the battery to recharge. It also seems built to take some abuse. The rollover protection and wheelie bar are useful when doing jumps, wheelies, and other stunts, and the metal shocks, differential, driveshaft, and servo gears give it a more substantial feel than some cheaper RC trucks in this size range. The LED headlights are a nice touch, and the black-and-yellow graphics give it an aggressive look. It's small enough to be easy to transport but still has enough speed and power to make it entertaining. The biggest downside for me is the price and the overall toy-like feel. At around $90, I expected the truck to feel a little more premium, and especially expected a nicer transmitter. The remote feels more like something you'd get with a basic toy-grade RC rather than a $90 vehicle. The truck itself has some decent hardware, so the inexpensive-feeling remote is a little disappointing at this price point.Overall, it's a fast and fun little RC truck with some good hardware, and the two batteries are a big plus. However, at around $90, I think DEERC could have included a much nicer transmitter to make the package feel more complete and better match the price.

Excellent out of the box truck for playing around the campsite and the park. My youngest had a blast playing with his brother and his brothers equivalent truck. Durable trucks, with Lo s of metal parts, but hard to search for parts if something does break. Battery life is okay, but not amazing.

I review a ton of these little RC cars and trucks all the way from a little dinosaur parked on four wheels all the way up to hobby-grade crawlers and off-road trucks that go over 40 miles an hour and cost close to $1000. This little guy is in the category of Off Road 4WD It ranks pretty high on the list being that has two decent sized 1200mAh batteries, so it gives a total runtime around 45 mins. It’s decently fast at around 20 miles an hour, but I run it at the beach on dry sand with lots of bumps and it it still gets stuck even with four-wheel-drive because it doesn’t have that much ground clearance and is really intended for essentially flat ground. I think this is a great little RC model and I give it my four stars.
