This Black Hawk RC Helicopter from DEERC is fun to play with, but it's designed to fly in perfectly calm conditions. If there's any breeze at all, it becomes near impossible to accurately control because the wind will carry it off in unpredictable directions.It comes with two proprietary rechargeable batteries. Battery life is about 10 minutes of flight time, which is decent at this price point. I like that the batteries can be charged with a standard USB-C to USB-A cable, as opposed to most other RC toy batteries which require more unusual two pin USB cables. I tried several USB-C to USB-C cables but they didn't seem to work.It seems to be pretty durable as my kids crashed it several times but it didn't get damaged. Spare rotor blades are included.The rotor blades are a little bit sharp, especially if they get damaged or chipped from crashing, so make sure to keep younger children far away from the blades when they're spinning because they could cause a bad cut. My son accidentally started the helicopter when I was picking it up and it was pretty painful!I think if you have realistic expectations of what this is capable of then you'll have a good time with it. I'd give it 5 stars if controlling it were easier or if it could handle some light wind. I have several DEERC RC toys (cars and boats) and they make excellent quality products.

It is definitely best suited for indoor environments where the air is still.

My little brother really loves this helicopter toy because he’s a big fan of flying toys! Its very easy for him to learn because the remote is simple to control. I like that it comes with spare blades in case the wings break, and it charges very fast so he can play with it again quickly.We only use this inside the house or in areas with no wind because it is very lightweight and can easily be blown away. Its a great gift and very durable for indoor use. Highly recommended for kids who want to learn how to fly!

It’s also fairly durable and includes some useful spare parts like extra rotors and propellers.That said, this helicopter is best suited for indoor use. It does not handle wind well - even a light breeze can carry it off course quickly.Overall, this is a fun and easy-to-use 3.5-channel helicopter that’s great for indoor play. The included two batteries and USB-C charging make it easy to extend flight time and keep the fun going.

Check out the video for first flight, nevermind the messy house haha.I’m pretty impressed with this little critter, some of my favourite birds arts are that it:- has batteries that charge with USB C which means we don’t have to worry about losing or using adapters.- the gyro keeps it level and facing the right direction making it much easier to fit for the younger folks!- remote is simple to use with trim adjustment so you can get it dialed in well!- a whole set of spare rudder and main blades in case of crashes.This is a great option for people looking for a relatively stress free way to enjoy Rc flight or kids looking to try something new!
