This remote controlled plane is very easy to set up, and great fun. While it is a toy, please note that it can fly very fast, isn't the easiest remote control toy to fly, and the plane is made from lightweight EPP foam (polypropylene foam) which is easily damaged if the plane is crashed. It is very susceptible to wind and gusts, so ensure your first flight attempt is on a calm day in a large open area. This toy is more suitable for adults or older children with some experience with piloting remote control toys. The plane itself is very easy to assemble, just peel the backing off the adhesive strip on the vertical stabiliser fin, and carefully press it into place. The landing gear presses into the slots at the front and rear, and the plane is complete. This unit comes with 2x lithium batteries for the plane itself, so you can double your flying time by switching batteries, but no batteries are provided for the remote which requires 3x AAA cells. A screwdriver is provided to open the battery compartment on the remote, and a USB-A charging adaptor is provided for the lithium batteries which have to be removed from the plane to charge. The plane is dual motor, and comes with 2x spare props. The instructions are not perfect, so this may be of assistance:- The plane automatically powers on when the battery is connected- When powered on, the LEDs under the plane will flash indicating pairing mode- Ensure left throttle is down/off, & turn on the remote control using the large middle button- Before pairing, ensure the plane is immobilised to avoid accidental take off- To pair, move the left throttle all the way up and all the way down- LEDs should stop flashing to indicate pairing was successfulI tested this plane on an empty football and cricket oval on a calm day, and it was a lot of fun. The cricket pitch in the middle of the field made for a perfect runway for taking off, as the plane needs at least 10-15m to get up to speed (it's probably best to launch these small RC planes by hand). It handled a minor crash landing fairly well, without any notable damage (pictures taken prior to flying, it looks a bit more worn in now!). I flew it for 5-10mins on each battery, I'm not sure what the maximum flight time is as I wasn't game to push my luck and run out of battery during the flight. The plane is very fast, and the controls are very sensitive, so this is best suited to older teenagers and adults, as crashing it at full speed may total the plane due to the EPP foam construction.
