Ready to rumble right out of the box and a ton of fun. The components used by DEERC push the power to the wheels on a frame thats both durable and steady. The ESC and servos work well to together to not only give that burst of Lipo power, but also keep the rig steady in action. Tire spin can get a little loose in the dirt on full throttle starts, but keeping it straight afterwards works pretty well. Response time is good with inputs from the transmitter quickly relayed for throttle and steering control. Shocks , tires and suspension works well for overall control as well. Truck settles in well after coming off a jump or while running on bumpy terrain. No bouncy or spongey type reaction leading to a struggle to regain control.The design of the rig is nice also. Nice skid plates, cool rims, LED lights, nice tread and a cool body gives it an overall rugged look. Inside is assembled with the electronics and chassis components coming together in a organized well assembled manner. Even the holes for the body post are low enough to ensure a secure fit for the body. I like that the body doesn't start flapping at higher speeds.Overall a durable build on this rig with electronic controls that ensure speed and control. All that equals ready to run fun.

Deerc used to be the best budget brand. This one the quality seems to have gone down. Maybe it will last but it doesn’t seem up to par build quality wise as others from this brand. Really cool features and performance with budget build quality. Overall pretty awesome if it lasts

this is my sixth deerc car. i haven't yet driven it - but I'll update review when done.Just looking at the car by itself it seems to be less value for money than another deerc 80km/hr car in terms of survivability. yes i know this one is meant to be fastergood things:- the wheely wheels at the back have reinforcement and come pre installed- the lowest speed setting makes the car usable indoors- two batteries and the car should be fastbad things: especially compared to another same brand car whose normal price is the same as this one at the time of writing:- no stability bar- suspension have less protection by the suspension arms- steering rod is thinner- practically the same size despite this being 1:16 vs other 1:14- battery holder has one Velcro vs two in the other- no way it's waterproof even splash proof- flimsy looking connectors on the receiveranother caution with these super speed deerc cars: always check for loose screws after and before playing! i discovered loose screws in my other car while doing reviews. always carry blue threadlock! i think this happens because the cars are just insanely fast.update: kids friend (6yo) had a play yesterday. they've never done rc cars. the variable max speed control on this car is actually the best out of all my 6 deerc cars. you can adjust from so-slow-it-can-barely-climb-a-rock up to so fast it'll throw the rock at your face. this makes this car extremely versatile for literal beginners to speed demons.despite its lesser construction compared to others it survived it's first run smashing into walls, fences, and socks so many rocks scratching so much of it.update: kids took it and two other deercs into the mud. cleaning it was hell. i had to take the wheels off as they were seized and discovered the hex to hub thing is metal - awesome. a ton of silicon spray after and the car was working again. but .. they were already signs of rust forming on screws, steering arms and cvs. so, for longevity dont do that which i do :)update 6 months later:car still has survived many playdates without having to replace any parts. it feels is slower than when new but that's probably mud or something slowing it down. i had to adjust the steering arms but other than that it's fully functional. there's visible rust in a few places and the suspension support screw is bent but it's still holding well and doing it's job. the other deerc i compare this with has needed new tyres, steering linkage, arms and differential in the same period of time

This is a seriously good RC car. DEERC 8618 brushless RC Car is a beast! It’s big and it’s powerful. Speed is incredible and it looks amazing. The wheels are strong and sturdy. This is an elevated RC car, way bigger and better than others ive tried.

Turn it in on high speed mode very fast little 16th scale so far so good on durability, but the body shell is like a piece of paper wrapped around a chassis with a motor and a battery. Body shell is very cheap and brakes easily specially to the rear end. I suggest buying different body shells which I did also it says that it’s a 1/16 scale, but it contradicts itself and also says it’s 1/14 scale same with on the YouTube videos this is considered a 1/14 scale mixed feelings on specifications.

I posted a long video review with plenty of details, so I'll try to keep this short. I did weeks of research, watching over 50 YouTube videos on different models of hobby grade R/C's, and chose this one. When you factor in everything you get with this, the value can't be beat. It's really tough and durable, it's really fast and easy to control. This is my first serious R/C, and I got it maxed out in the fast mode, with zero flipping or crashing. The gyro might have something to do with that, and the trigger control definitely helps. Don't mash the trigger, just ease it into a full squeeze, no jerking the trigger, just one continuous smooth pull and you'll be fine.Lots of cars have advertised top speeds, but you need a 3S battery to achieve them, and the cars ship with a 2S, so you don't get those speeds without investing additional money, but this comes with a faster top speed, and two 3S batteries included, so you actually get what's advertised. I've watchewd so many videos of people smashing and bashing this vehicle and it just keeps working. You really can't go wrong with this car, and you can't get more for your buck anywhere you look. Not with all these features and specs right out of the box.
